Residential Treatment
Children and youth in our residential treatment homes are referred by the Louisiana Department of Social Services, Office of Community Services, our state foster care center. Volunteers are always needed to help with tutoring, recreational activities and beautification of the homes.
Parker House
Parker House provides 24-hour residential care for abused and neglected children ages 3 through 12. Many of these children have experienced the worst types of abuse and/or neglect at the hands of the people they love and trust the most.
Treatment includes intensive counseling sessions in which the children learn to trust again, overcome fears and are able to express and control their emotions.
These children need to be able to "just be children." Our goal is to provide a family-like environment and a home for healing.
Baton Rouge Youth
Baton Rouge Youth is a home for adolescent females ages 12 through 17. They are abused and neglected teens who receive counseling to address and overcome past trauma, emotional impairments and behavioral difficulties.
The teens at Baton Rouge Youth develop independent living skills to successfully transition into productive citizens within their communities. Our teens attend school within the Baton Rouge community and are encouraged to participate in regular school activities. They also learn to deal with issues that come along with their age.
