The Family Resource Center...We'll Walk With You
Becoming a foster parent is a wonderful and rewarding experience, yet Volunteers of America recognizes that foster families benefit from a support system. The Family Resource Center provides supportive services to foster, adoptive and kinship care families as well as crisis and recreational respite for the children in their care. Parents have the opportunity to participate in monthly scheduled Days of Leisure held at area churches. Parents served through the Family Resource Center are able to drop off their children for a day of fun. Many of these activities are made possible through the dedicated support of The Junior League of Baton Rouge. Days of Leisure are intended to prevent burn-out and offer socialization for the youth we serve.
